Safety on the Slopes

In order to guarantee safe fun on the slopes for oneself and for others, a few simple rules must be followed at the family ski resort of Meran 2000.

Safety standards for a carefree holiday at the ski resort of Meran 2000

  • In Italy, there has been a helmet law in force since 2005 for minors under 14 years of age. Child-protection helmets must be homologated and comply with CE standards.
  • Skiers should behave prudently and not overestimate their own technical skills or their physicalabilities.
  • A skier’s speed on the slopes should be in keeping with his or her own technical skill, the state of the slopes, weather conditions, and traffic density.
  • Moguls and runs that are hidden from view are not good places to hang out, wait for friends, or stop to take a rest. Skiers should stop only on the edge of a run.
  • After a fall, skiers should move off the run as soon as possible and ensure that their equipment is not left lying on the run.

The operator of the ski area is not liable for accidents occurring off the designated runs.
