Getting to Merano 2000 quickly and safely

The ski and hiking area of Merano 2000 is easy to reach the whole year round, whether by private car, bus, or cable car.

You can reach the high plateau in just a few minutes on the cable car from Merano.

 

From the holiday villages of Avelengo/Hafling and Verano/Vöran, you can take a public bus, ski bus, or the Tschöggelbergbus to Falzeben Lift, which brings you directly to the heart of the resort.

Getting there on public transportation

  • Getting there from Merano/Meran: public bus 1A, or with the SAD line running from Avelengo - Verano - Merano 2000
  • Getting there from Verano/Vöran: public bus, ski bus for tourists, Tschögglbergbus
  • Getting there from Avelengo/Hafling: public bus, ski bus for tourists, Tschögglbergbus
  • Getting there from Scena/Schenna: tourist bus (summer only)
  • Getting there from Tirolo/Dorf Tirol: ski bus during the Christmas holidays

Getting there by car:

  • Munich Autobahn – Innsbruck – Brennero/Brenner) - Vipiteno/Sterzing - exit at Bozen Süd – MEBO highway to Meran Süd exit, then follow signs for Avelengo/Hafling - Merano 2000.
  • Highway (A7) via Kempten - Reute - Imst - Landeck – Passo di Resia/Reschenpass – exit at Merano Süd then follow the signs to Avelengo/Hafling – Meran 2000. (You do not need a toll-road sticker if you drive from Landeck to Imst on the main road.)
  • From Switzerland, over the Ofenpass – Munster – Glorenza/Glurns – Sluderno/Schluderns – exit at Meran Süd then follow signs to Avelengo/Hafling - Meran 2000.
  • From Verona, take the Autostrada del Brennero/Brennerautobahn and exit at Bozen Süd, then take the MEBO highway to the Meran Süd exit and follow signs for Avelengo/Hafling – Merano 2000.
