The popular sledding trail that runs for about 3 kilometres through the family ski area of Merano 2000 begins at Piffing, where the summit stations of the lifts are found.
From there, the varied and winding sled run makes a fast descent through the white winter woods until it reaches the valley station of the Falzeben Lift.
In addition to the sledding trail that runs from Piffing to Falzeben, Meran 2000 has the longest toboggan ride in Italy, the Alpine Bob, which is in operation throughout the whole year.
There is also a perfectly groomed sled run, which leads across a gorgeous larch meadow, for children and families on the Leadner Alm alpine pastures above Verano/Vöran. The run is easy to reach by car in winter, and there are places to eat in the immediate vicinity.
