With a network of trails 25 kilometres long and spectacular far-reaching views of the Dolomites and the Brenta Mountains in the south to the Tessa Mountains and the Ortler Massif in the west, the Sun Terrace of Merano is an ideal destination for anyone who loves horses, sledding, winter hiking, and snowshoeing.

Skiers have around 40 kilometres of slopes to enjoy in the family ski area of Meran 2000. Snowboarders, freeriders, and carvers will find wide slopes and challenging stretches. Off-piste skiers, backcountry skiers, and snowshoers will also find extensive stomping grounds. The family ski area of Merano 2000 is part of the Specialised Children's Ski Schools of South Tyrol and has a wide array of options for children.
