The holiday region of Avelengo – Verano - Merano 2000 has a extensive network of beautiful hiking trails. These delightful hikes can be undertaken all year round and range from relaxing strolls to Nordic walking trails to challenging summit tours with magnificent far-reaching views of the surrounding mountains.
The hiking pass invites mountaineers of all ages to document the hikes they’ve done and to collect stamps with the corresponding numbers of points in the huts along the way. Hikers receive a silver badge when they reach 100 points and a golden badge when they reach 150 points (each for a nominal fee of EUR 5) and there is also a special award: the Hiking Certificate.
